LOX-1 is a type II transmembrane protein belonging to the C-type lectin family.
It is highly expressed on endothelial cells and functions as an endocytosis receptor for atherogenic oxidized LDL.
Soluble LOX-1 can be generated from the transmembrane protein by proteolytic cleavage.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
