Factor XIII is activated by thrombin and calcium ion to a transglutaminase that catalyzes the formation of gamma-glutamyl- epsilon-lysine cross-links between fibrin chains, thus stabilizing the fibrin clot.
Also cross-link alpha-2-plasmin inhibitor, or fibronectin, to the alpha chains of fibrin.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Indirect Flow Cytometry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Indirect Flow Cytometry: 1:25Western Blot: 1:2000Immunofluorescence: 1:25Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
