Polyglutamylase which preferentially modifies alpha-tubulin.
Involved in the side- chain initiation step of the polyglutamylation reaction rather than in the elongation step (By similarity).
Required for CCSAP localization to both spindle and cilia microtubules.
Increases the effects of NCOA2 in glucocorticoid receptor-mediated repression and induction and in androgen receptor-mediated induction (PubMed:17116691, PubMed:22493317).
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
