Contributes to normal axon migration across the brain midline and normal formation of the corpus callosum.
Does not seem to play a significant role in regulating axon regeneration in the adult central nervous system.
Protects motoneurons against apoptosis; protection against apoptosis is probably mediated by MAG (By similarity).
Like other family members, plays a role in restricting the number dendritic spines and the number of synapses that are formed during brain development.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000Immunohistochemistry: 1:120-1:200Immunofluorescence: 1:50-1:200Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
