A bis-(3'-5') cyclic diguanylic acid (c-di-GMP) phosphodiesterase involved in regulating the levels of c-di-GMP that control cell motility (the flagella) and adhesion (adhesive curli fimbriae).
The YhjH effect on flagella is controlled via the c-di-GMP-binding flagellar brake protein YcgR, however curli expression is not regulated via YcgR.
Forms a network with different diguanylate cyclases (DosC, YeaJ, YedQ, YegE have been identified) to regulate c-di-GMP levels.
Flagellar activity is high at low c-di-GMP levels whereas curli fimbria are induced at high c-di-GMP levels.
Cyclic-di-GMP is a second messenger which controls cell surface-associated traits in bacteria.
Applications:Suitable for use in FLISA.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
