As the sensor component of the NLRP6 inflammasome, plays a crucial role in innate immunity and inflammation.
In response to pathogens and other damage-associated signals, initiates the formation of the inflammasome polymeric complex, made of NLRP6, PYCARD and CASP1 (and possibly CASP4 and CASP5).
Recruitment of proCASP1 to the inflammasome promotes its activation and CASP1-catalyzed IL1B and IL18 maturation and secretion in the extracellular milieu.
The precise NLRP6 activation stimulus has not been identified yet (By similarity).
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
