Binds to folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and mediates delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and folate analogs into the interior of cells.
Has high affinity for folate and folic acid analogs at neutral pH.
Exposure to slightly acidic pH after receptor endocytosis triggers a conformation change that strongly reduces its affinity for folates and mediates their release.
Required for normal embryonic development and normal cell proliferation.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry: 1:500-1:1000Immunofluorescence: 1:200-1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
