F-actin cross-linking protein which is thought to anchor actin to a variety of intracellular structures.
This is a bundling protein (Probable).
Probably involved in vesicular trafficking via its association with the CART complex.
The CART complex is necessary for efficient transferrin receptor recycling but not for EGFR degradation (PubMed:15772161).
Involved in tight junction assembly in epithelial cells probably through interaction with MICALL2.
Links MICALL2 to the actin cytoskeleton and recruits it to the tight junctions (By similarity).
May also function as a transcriptional coactivator, stimulating transcription mediated by the nuclear hormone receptors PPARG and RARA (PubMed:22351778).
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
