- GroEL and GroES are E.
- coli chaperonins, which are homologs of mitochondrial chaperonins Hsp60 and Hsp10.
- GroEL is a double toriodal assembly of 14 identical subunits which form two heptameric rings stacked back-to-back, with a cavity at each end.
- GroEL and its co-chaperonin GroES facilitate protein folding with an ATP-dependent mechanism.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:1000, ColorimetricOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
