Epithelial cellular adhesion molecule (EpCAM), is also identified as epithelial specific antigen (ESA) and the 40kD transmembrane epithelial glycoprotein EGP40.
EpCAM is expressed on the baso-lateral cell surface in most simple epithelia and a vast majority of carcinomas.
EpCAM antibody is also useful in distinguishing serous carcinomas of the ovary from mesothelioma.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry and Immunofluorescence.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/mlImmunofluorescence: 1-2ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (formalin-fixed paraffin sections): 0.5-1ug/ml for 30 min at RTFlow Cytometry: 0.5-1ug/106 cells in 0.1mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
