Alpha-Synuclein accumulates in Lewy bodies, which are intraneuronal cytoplasmic inclusions present in the brains of sporadic Parkinson's disease patients, and is implicated in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease and related neurodegenerative disorders.
alpha-Synuclein appears to associate with other proteins that aggregate and is found in beta-amyloid plaques and neuritic tangles in Alzheimer's disease.

仕様
Size:100ul
Host:rabbit
Source Antibody:human
Grade:Purified
Purity:Purified by caprylic acid and ammonium sulphate precipitation.
Form:Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 10mM sodium azide.
Specificity:Recognizes human brain-derived alpha-synuclein. The antibody also reacts with rat brain-derived alpha-synuclein but reactivity appears substantially less than with human. Does not cross-react with mouse alpha-synuclein.
Isotype:IgG
Calc Applications Abbrev:IHC WB
Calc Crossreactivity:Hu Rt
Immunogen:Synthetic peptide corresponding to [Cys] + aa117-131 of human alpha-synuclein conjugated to KLH. The sequence is conserved in rat alpha-synuclein except for two substitutions, namely Asp121Ser and Asn122Ser.
