- Syntaxin-1, synaptobrevin/VAMP, and SNAP25 interact to form the SNARE complex, which is required for synaptic vesicle docking and fusion.
- The protein encoded by SNPH (Syntaphilin) is membrane-associated and inhibits SNARE complex formation by binding free syntaxin-1.
- Expression of SNPH appears to be brain-specific.
- Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000ELISA: 1:5000-1:20,000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
