SLC5A2 (solute carrier family 5 member 2) encodes a member of the sodium glucose cotransporter family which are sodium-dependent glucose transport proteins.
The encoded protein is the major cotransporter involved in glucose reabsorption in the kidney.
Mutations in SLC5A2 are associated with renal glucosuria.
Two transcript variants, one protein-coding and one not, have been found for SLC5A2.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.

For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
