The elongation of primed DNA templates by DNA polymerase delta and DNA polymerase epsilon requires the accessory proteins proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and replication factor C (RFC).
RFC, also named activator 1, is a protein complex consisting of five distinct subunits of 140kD, 40kD, 38kD, 37kD, and 36kD.
RFC3 encodes the 38kD subunit.
This subunit is essential for the interaction between the 140kD subunit and the core complex that consists of the 36kD, 37kD, and 40kD subunits.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:100-1:300ELISA: 1:40,000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
