RELN (Reelin) encodes a large secreted extracellular matrix protein thought to control cell-cell interactions critical for cell positioning and neuronal migration during brain development.
This protein may be involved in schizophrenia, autism, bipolar disorder, major depression and in migration defects associated with temporal lobe epilepsy.
Mutations of RELN are associated with autosomal recessive lissencephaly with cerebellar hypoplasia.
Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for RELN.
Other transcript variants have been described but their full length nature has not been determined.

Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:50-1:300Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
