PTX3 encodes a member of the pentraxin protein family.
The expression of pentraxin 3 is induced by inflammatory cytokines in response to inflammatory stimuli in several mesenchymal and epithelial cell types, particularly endothelial cells and mononuclear phagocytes.
Pentraxin 3 promotes fibrocyte differentiation and is involved in regulating inflammation and complement activation.
It also plays a role in angiogenesis and tissue remodeling.
Pentraxin 3 serves as a biomarker for several inflammatory conditions.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
