Parvalbumin, encoded by PVALB gene, is a high affinity calcium ion-binding protein that is structurally and functionally similar to calmodulin and troponin C.
The encoded protein is thought to be involved in muscle relaxation.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
PVALB (parvalbumin) is a protein coding gene.
Diseases associated with PVALB include fish allergy and fetal alcohol syndrome.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
