PRLR encodes a receptor for the anterior pituitary hormone, prolactin, and belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family.
Prolactin-dependent signaling occurs as the result of ligand-induced dimerization of the prolactin receptor.
Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different membrane-bound and soluble isoforms have been described for PRLR, which may function to modulate the endocrine and autocrine effects of prolactin in normal tissue and cancer.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
