The podocan encoded by PODN is a member of the small leucine-rich repeat protein family and contains an N-terminal CX3CXCX7C cysteine-rich cluster followed by a leucine-rich repeat domain.
Studies suggest that this protein could function to inhibit smooth muscle cell proliferation and migration following arterial injury.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:100-1:300ELISA: 1:40,000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
