PLSCR2 (phospholipid scramblase 2) encodes a member of the phospholipid scramblase family.
Phospholipid scramblases are membrane proteins that mediate calcium-dependent, non-specific movement of plasma membrane phospholipids and phosphatidylserine exposure.
The encoded protein contains a low affinity calcium binding motif and may play a role in blood coagulation and apoptosis.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
