PAX1 is a member of the paired box (PAX) family of transcription factors.
Members of the PAX family typically contain a paired box domain and a paired-type homeodomain.
These genes play critical roles during fetal development.
PAX1 plays a role in pattern formation during embryogenesis and may be essential for development of the vertebral column.
PAX1 is silenced by methylation in ovarian and cervical cancers and may be a tumor suppressor gene.
Mutations in this gene are also associated with vertebral malformations.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:100-1:300ELISA: 1:5000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
