MIF encodes a lymphokine involved in cell-mediated immunity, immunoregulation, and inflammation.
It plays a role in the regulation of macrophage function in host defense through the suppression of anti-inflammatory effects of glucocorticoids.
This lymphokine and the JAB1 protein form a complex in the cytosol near the peripheral plasma membrane, which may indicate an additional role in integrin signaling pathways.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:100-1:300ELISA: 1:5000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
