MAOA (monoamine oxidase A) is one of two neighboring gene family members that encode mitochondrial enzymes which catalyze the oxidative deamination of amines, such as dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin.
Mutation of MAOA results in Brunner syndrome.
MAOA has also been associated with a variety of other psychiatric disorders, including antisocial behavior.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
