Interferon alpha and beta receptor subunit 1 encoded by IFNAR1 is a type I membrane protein that forms one of the two chains of a receptor for interferons alpha and beta.
Binding and activation of the receptor stimulates Janus protein kinases, which in turn phosphorylate several proteins, including STAT1 and STAT2.
The encoded protein also functions as an antiviral factor.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
