IGF2BP1 encodes a member of the insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein family.
The protein encoded by IGF2BP1 contains four K homology domains and two RNA recognition motifs.
It functions by binding to the mRNAs of certain genes, including insulin-like growth factor 2, beta-actin and beta-transducin repeat-containing protein, and regulating their translation.
Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for IGF2BP1.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
