HOXB5 is a member of the Antp homeobox family and encodes a nuclear protein with a homeobox DNA-binding domain.
It is included in a cluster of homeobox B genes located on chromosome 17.
Homeobox protein Hox-B5 functions as a sequence-specific transcription factor that is involved in lung and gut development.
Increased expression of this gene is associated with a distinct biologic subset of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and the occurrence of bronchopulmonary sequestration (BPS) and congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation (CCAM) tissue.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
