- GABRG2 (gamma-aminobutyric acid type A receptor gamma2 subunit) encodes a gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptor.
- GABA is the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the mammlian brain, where it acts at GABA-A receptors, which are ligand-gated chloride channels.
- GABA-A receptors are pentameric, consisting of proteins from several subunit classes: alpha, beta, gamma, delta and rho.
- Mutations in GABRG2 have been associated with epilepsy and febrile seizures.
- Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for GABRG2.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry.

- Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:1000-1:2000Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:100-1:200Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
