MRC2 encodes a member of the mannose receptor family of proteins that contain a fibronectin type II domain and multiple C-type lectin-like domains.
The mannose receptor C type 2 plays a role in extracellular matrix remodeling by mediating the internalization and lysosomal degradation of collagen ligands.
Expression of this gene may play a role in the tumorigenesis and metastasis of several malignancies including breast cancer, gliomas and metastatic bone disease.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:100-1:300ELISA: 1:20,000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
