CUL4A (Cullin 4A) is the ubiquitin ligase component of a multimeric complex involved in the degradation of DNA damage-response proteins.
CUL4A is a protein coding gene.
Diseases associated with CUL4A include xeroderma pigmentosum group E and xeroderma pigmentosum, variant type.
Among its related pathways are translesion synthesis by Y family DNA polymerases bypasses lesions on DNA template and transcription-coupled nucleotide excision repair (TC-NER).
