CCK (cholecystokinin) encodes a member of the gastrin/cholecystokinin family of proteins.
The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate multiple protein products, including the peptide hormones cholecystokinin-8, -12, -33, and others.
The encoded peptides have been shown to regulate gastric acid secretion and food intake.
A sulfated form of cholecystokinin-8 may modulate neuronal activity in the brain.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:100-1:300ELISA: 1:20,000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
