AKAP6 (A-kinase anchoring protein 6) is a protein coding gene.
Among its related pathways are activation of cAMP-dependent PKA and DAG and IP3 signaling.
The A-kinase anchor proteins (AKAPs) are a group of structurally diverse proteins, which have the common function of binding to the regulatory subunit of protein kinase A (PKA) and confining the holoenzyme to discrete locations within the cell.
AKAP6 encodes a member of the AKAP family.
The encoded protein is highly expressed in various brain regions and cardiac and skeletal muscle.
It is specifically localized to the sarcoplasmic reticulum and nuclear membrane, and is involved in anchoring PKA to the nuclear membrane or sarcoplasmic reticulum.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.

Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:50-1:300Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
