ADAM29 encodes a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family.
Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis.
The protein encoded by ADAM29 is highly expressed in testis and may be involved in human spermatogenesis.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants that encode the same protein.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
