• DAP (death associated protein) kinase and ZIP kinase are members of a novel protein kinase family, the members of which have the capacity to mediate apoptosis through their catalytic activities.
• DAP kinase contains a “death domain” and has been shown to mediate y interferon-induced apoptosis.
• The introduction of DAP kinase into highly metastatic carcinoma clones lacking DAP kinase expression was shown to result in the suppression of metastasis, thus linking suppression of apoptosis to metastasis.
• ZIP kinase contains a leucine zipper domain, which is necessary for homodimerization and for interaction with other leucine zipper proteins.
• ZIP kinase dimerizes with ATF-4, an ATF/CREB transcription factor family member that contains a leucine zipper.
• DRAK1 (DAP kinase-related apoptosis-inducing protein kinase 1) and DRAK2 are DAP kinase related proteins.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and ELISA.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000, incubate membrane with diluted primary antibody in TBS, 5% milk, 0.1% Tween 20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight.
• Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200ELISA (peptide): 1:20,000-1:40,000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
