Centrosomal protein of 78kD, also known as Cep78, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CEP78 gene.
Proteins are biochemical compounds consisting of one or more polypeptides typically folded into a globular or fibrous form in a biologically functional way.
A polypeptide is a single linear polymer chain of aa’s bonded together by peptide bonds between the carboxyl and amino groups of adjacent aa’s residues.
The sequence of aa’s in a protein is defined by the sequence of a gene, which is encoded in the genetic code.
