Transcription factor TFIID is one of the general factors required for accurate and regulated initiation by RNA polymerase II.
Taf8 mediates both basal and activator-dependent transcription.
Taf8 plays a role in the differentiation of preadipocyte fibroblasts to adipocytes, however does not seem to play a role in differentiation of myoblasts.
Required for the integration of TAF10 in the TAF complex.
Taf8 may be important for survival of cells of the inner cell mass which constitute the pluripotent cell population of the early embryo.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.

Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
