- RDH16 is an oxidoreductase with a preference for NAD.
- It oxidizes all-trans-retinol and 13-cis-retinol to the corresponding aldehydes.
- RDH16 has higher activity towards CRBP-bound retinol than with free retinol.
- It also oxidizes androstanediol and androsterone to dihydrotestosterone and androstanedione.
- RDH16 can also catalyze the reverse reaction.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
