NR5A1 is an important regulator of steroidogeneisis which is present in human skin and its appendages.
It plays a role in regulating p450scc expression with TReP-132 and CBP/p300.
The protein encoded by this gene is a transcriptional activator involved in sex determination.
The encoded protein binds DNA as a monomer.
Defects in this gene are a cause of XY sex reversal with or without adrenal failure as well as adrenocortical insufficiency without ovarian defect.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
