MYRIP is a rab effector protein involved in melanosome transport.
It serves as link between melanosome-bound RAB27A and the motor proteins MYO5A and MYO7A.
It may link RAB27A-containing vesicles to actin filaments, functions as a protein kinase A-anchoring protein (AKAP) and may act as a scaffolding protein that links PKA to components of the exocytosis machinery, thus facilitating exocytosis, including insulin release.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
