ADAM2 is a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family.
Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis.
ADAM2 is a subunit of an integral sperm membrane glycoprotein called fertilin, which plays an important role in sperm-egg interactions.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
