• STUB1 (STIP1 homology and U-Box containing protein 1), also known as CHIP (C-terminal of HSC70-Interacting Protein), is a human gene.
• This gene encodes a protein containing tetratricopeptide repeat and a U-box that functions as a ubiquitin ligase/cochaperone.
• The encoded protein binds to and ubiquitinates shock cognate 71kD protein (Hspa8) and DNA polymerase beta (Polb), among other targets.
• Mutations in this gene cause spinocerebellar ataxia, autosomal recessive 16.
• Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
• There is a pseudogene for this gene on chromosome 2.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:ELISA (Direct): 0.1-0.5ug/mlWestern Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 0.5-1ug/ml.
• Requires HIER using 10mm sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 for 20 minutes is required for staining of formalin/parffin sections.
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
• Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
