IL17C, also known as CX2, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IL17C gene.
IL17C is mapped to 16q24.3.
The protein encoded by this gene is a T cell-derived cytokine that shares the sequence similarity with IL17.
This cytokine was reported to stimulate the release of tumor necrosis factor alpha and interleukin 1 beta from a monocytic cell line.
The expression of this cytokine was found to be restricted to activated T cells.
IL17C is an essential autocrine cytokine regulating innate epithelial immune responses.
It also plays an important role in the pathogenesis of inflammatory arthritis.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1-5ug/mlWestern Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
