Cullin-4A is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CUL4A gene.
It belongs to the cullin family of ubiquitin ligase proteins and is highly homologous to the CUL4B protein.
CUL4A regulates numerous key processes such as DNA repair, chromatin remodeling, spermatogenesis, haematopoiesis and the mitotic cell cycle.
As a result, CUL4A has been implicated in several cancers and the pathogenesis of certain viruses including HIV.
Interestingly, a component of a CUL4A complex, Cereblon, was discovered to be a major target of the teratogenic agent thalidomide.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 0.1-0.5ug/mlWestern Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
