Porcine interleukin-6 is a multifunctional cytokine secreted by a range of cell types, including T cells and macrophages.
IL-6 has a range of activities and includes the differentiation of B cells into Ig producing cells, differentiation of lymphocytes, nerve cells and of monocytes.
IL-6 functions in both a pro-inflammatory role where it is an important inducer of the acute phase response and also as an anti-inflammatory myokine.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1-5ug/mlWestern Blot: 0.1-2ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
