The c-Jun transcription factor is encoded by the c-Jun oncogene and dimerizes with c-Fos, JDP and ATF family members to form the AP-1 transcription factor (Eferl and Wagner 2003).
AP-1 is activated by a variety of stimuli including cytokines, stress and growth factors, and plays a critical role in cellular processes ranging from proliferation to apoptosis.
c-Jun becomes phosphorylated on Serine 63 and Serine 73 by MAPK8 (SAPK/JNK) and PLK3, which regulate c-Jun transcription.
c-Jun has been implicated in early tumor development, invasion and metastasis, and due to these findings has been identified as a target for cancer therapies.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.

Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:400Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
