VMP1 is a stress-induced protein that, when overexpressed, promotes formation of intracellular vacuoles followed by cell death.
May be involved in the cytoplasmic vacuolization of acinar cells during the early stage of acute pancreatitis.VMP1 is a transmembrane protein that co-localizes with LC3, a marker of the autophagosomes.
It interacts with beclin-1, a mammalian autophagy initiator, through the VMP1-Atg domain, which is essential for autophagosome formation.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:100Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
