特徴
- The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the FGGY kinase family.
- This protein is a key enzyme in the regulation of glycerol uptake and metabolism.
- It catalyzes the phosphorylation of glycerol by ATP, yielding ADP and glycerol-3-phosphate.
- Mutations in this gene are associated with glycerol kinase deficiency (GKD).
- Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
- Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:300 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
