Decapping is a key step in general and regulated mRNA decay.
The protein encoded by this gene is a decapping enzyme.
This protein and another decapping enzyme form a decapping complex, which interacts with the nonsense-mediated decay factor hUpf1 and may be recruited to mRNAs containing premature termination codons.
This protein also participates in the TGF-beta signaling pathway.
Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.

Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:300 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
