The product of this gene is a core component of the exon junction complex (EJC), a protein complex that is deposited on spliced mRNAs at exon-exon junctions and functions in nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD).
The encoded protein binds RNA and interacts with two other EJC core components.
It is predominantly located in the Cytoplasm, but shuttles into the nucleus where it localizes to nuclear speckles.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:200-1:1000Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:100Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
