Autophagy related 4A, cysteine peptidase (ATG4A or APG4A) is a C-54 cysteine protease that also belongs to the family of autophagin proteins, and is primarily found in skeletal muscle and brain.
ATG4A is involved in cellular autophagy and has been studied as a target for cancer therapy.
Specifically it cleaves GATE-16.
Mutations in the ATG4a gene is critical for redox regulation and inhibits autophagosome formation.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:1000Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: 1:100Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
