Complement component 9 is a protein involved in the complement system.
It participates in the formation of the Membrane Attack Complex (MAC).
The MAC assembles on bacterial membranes to form a pore, permitting disruption of bacterial membrane organization.
Mutations in this gene cause component C9 deficiency.
And this gene is mapped to 5p13.1.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 0.1-0.5ug/mlWestern Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile dH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
